If you are interested in becoming certified, there are two exams that are available:
1) Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Exam- This is a great place to learn about how to become certified and what to do to keep your certification.
NOTE: PTCB requires CPhTs to manually enter continuing education (CE) hours into an online PTCB account in order to recertify. In addition, PTCB encourages all CPhTs to register for the CPE Monitor and obtain an NABP e-Profile ID. The CPE Monitor is a national, collaborative effort by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) that allows pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to track their completed pharmacy continuing education (CPE) credits in a central system. ACPE requires all CPE credits to be processed and claimed no later than 60 days from the date of the live or on-demand activity.
For more technician information, go to the National Pharmacy Technician Association website.
