Empowering the Voice of Kansas Pharmacy
Join fellow pharmacists, technicians, and pharmacy students from the Sunflower State – as we advocate at the Kansas Statehouse to strengthen the pharmacy profession in Kansas. The backbone of KPhA’s legislative and public policy efforts, the annual Day with the Legislature allows us to engage in face-to-face grassroots advocacy with Kansas lawmakers. Inject some pharmacy-filled energy into the Capitol by participating in bipartisan discussions centered around healthcare policy. Meet with your representatives and senators at the Kansas State Capitol, invite them to lunch, and help advance our priorities into this year’s legislative session!
Join the KPhA PAC on Wednesday, Feb. 1, for a fundraiser in downtown Topeka at the Tee Box, 906 S. Kansas Ave. Event limited to 50 people; $250 donation per person required.
After we finish at the Statehouse on Thursday, Feb. 2, gather with KPhA staff and fellow attendees for a happy hour event from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Founder's Room at The Beacon, 420 SW 9th. Click here for parking and other details.
Need hotel accommodations? We suggest the Cyrus Hotel or Hotel Topeka at City Center. Both are in close proximity to the Statehouse and downtown Topeka.
Even if you can't attend for the full day – any face-time you can provide to help us educate policy makers on important issues facing the profession is helpful.
Invite your Legislator to Happy Hour at The Beacon, 420 SW 9th, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served. If your representative plans to attend with you, please let the KPhA office know in advance.
If you need assistance contacting your legislator, call the KPhA office at 785-228-2327.
Please contact Jen Clark if you have any questions about KPhA Day with the Legislature.
