As part of a grant from the Kansas Department of Health & Environment, the Kansas Pharmacists Association offers this training at no cost to pharmacists in Johnson, Wyandotte, Atchison, Miami and Leavenworth Counties!

THAT'S RIGHT, YOU CAN RECEIVE THIS TRAINING FOR FREE!

The class will provide one hour of continuing education credit through the Kansas Board of Pharmacy. Learn the most recent information and standards for providing improved patient care related to first-line treatment options for hypertension.

Objectives include:

  1. Review the ACC/AHA 2017 guidelines and first line treatment options for hypertension (HTN)
  2. Define resistant HTN and discuss treatment options
  3. Evaluate evidence-based treatment options for HTN in patients with variable ethnicities and ages
  4. Interpret literature to optimize HTN medication regimens for specific disease states, including diabetes mellitus and chronic kidney disease
