Day with the legislature
 The backbone of KPhA’s legislative and public policy efforts, the annual Day with the Legislature brings pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and student pharmacists together to engage in face-to-face grassroots advocacy with Kansas lawmakers. It provides an opportunity to meet with representatives and senators at the Kansas State Capitol and help advance our priorities into this year’s legislative session! | THIS YEAR FEB. 1 - PAC Fundraiser at THE TEE BOX, 906 S. Getting Around & Parking
The PAC Fundraiser on Feb. 1 will take place at THE TEE BOX, 906 S. Kansas Ave. Parking along Kansas Avenue and the side streets is free in the evenings. The next morning, on Feb. 2, we will meet at THE KANSAS STATEHOUSE, 300 SW 10th, to begin our advocacy efforts for the day. Later in the afternoon, we will go to the Founders Room at THE BEACON, 420 SW 9th, for a happy hour social. All of these venues are located in downtown Topeka and are within walking distance from the capitol complex.

The Statehouse has an underground parking facility along its north side just off 8th Street. Parking here is free, but space is limited and generally fills up quickly each morning. The City of Topeka operates garages at Crosby Place, 108 SW 8th St., and Centre City, 825 S Kansas Ave., which are the most convenient locations to park. Metered parking also is available on the street around the capitol. Please note: Construction at the Docking State Office Building, 10th and Harrison, is causing some road closures along Harrison Street. |
