Brian Caswell, owner of Wolkar Drug in Baxter Springs, KS, was installed as the 2019-2020 president of the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) on Oct. 29 during the organization's Annual Convention in San Diego, CA.
Additionally, Dared Price, owner of Graves Drug in Winfield, KS, was elected to the House of Delegates as the fifth vice president of the organization.
Caswell addressed changing the payment model and pharmacy practice transformation as a top priorities for his time as president during an acceptance speech.
Caswell is a past-president of the Kansas Pharmacists Association (KPhA), serving in that role in 2005. He currently is on the Kansas Pharmacy Foundation Board of Trustees, which is made up of KPhA past-presidents. Price was recently elected to a three-year term as KPhA's secretary-treasurer.
