NCPDP will no longer apply for an NPI number on behalf of a pharmacy. This means that pharmacies needing an NCPDP ID in the future will need to apply for their own NPI number prior to filling out the NCPDP application.
Additionally, NCPDP will no longer update pharmacies’ NPI profiles on behalf of the pharmacy. Pharmacies that need to update their NPI profiles must do so by logging into the NPPES website.
