Community Pharmacists Academy

Academy Charter Information

Purpose:

To support KPhA in its mission to promote and advance pharmaceutical care for Kansans. In doing so, the Community academy is charged with increasing the knowledge, empathy, sustainability and membership of pharmacy personnel in the state of Kansas. In addition, the Community academy extends its knowledge and altruism to all other academies in KPhA to provide continuity of communication and ultimately the best pharmaceutical care for Kansans.

Goals:

• Sustain and increase membership
• Educate pharmacy personnel on current drug trends, wholesaler issues, new therapies, legislative issues, marketing and business trends
• Promote Outreach programs designed for the community
• Attain political influence that promotes pharmacy sustainability
• Foster communication between members to share ideas
• Document pharmaceutical needs of Kansans
