Interim Considerations for COVID-19 Vaccination of Healthcare Personnel and Long-Term Care Facility Residents
The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommends that when a COVID-19 vaccine is authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by ACIP, vaccination in the initial phase of the COVID-19 vaccination program (Phase 1a) should be offered to both 1) health care personnel (HCP) and 2) residents of long term care facilities (LTCF). These considerations will be updated as additional information becomes available. 12/14/20

Have an idea for a clinic or other activity that can help get people in your area vaccinated? Apply for a PAVE grant - funding up to $10,000 per award can cover activities such as a media buy, personnel at a vaccine clinic, translation of vaccine materials, mailers to targeted populations, and other related projects. 

KDHE Kansas COVID-19 Vaccination Plan
This plan was submitted to the CDC to outline Kansas’ plan for vaccine distribution. This is an iterative plan that will continue to be developed and amended as we move through the various vaccine distribution phases. Please check back frequently for updates.

Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) COVID-19 Claims Reimbursement
As part of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act, and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act , the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), will provide claims reimbursement to health care providers generally at Medicare rates for testing uninsured individuals for COVID-19, for treating uninsured individuals with a COVID-19 primary diagnosis, and for COVID-19 vaccine administration to the uninsured.
